Day 2. Part 2.

The Lead Car, Indiana State Police.  The "ox cart" (bus) brings up the rear.  BTW, gravel roads are a bear (ha! imagine another "b" word) to walk on for any extended distance.  If you're lucky, the road has two worn-smooth tire tracks that are not ruts.  These are relatively kinder to the soles (and souls?).  Between the long, long roads and the endless fields of corn and soy beans, I can't recall much else in the way of scenery.

Dinner tonight at Red Skelton Museum and Performing Arts Center at Vincennes University.

Dinner tonight onstage.  While we eat, ND alum Matt Goodrich "reads" the opening scene from Sorin: A Notre Dame Story.

Just the start of an attractively presented and delicious meal.

  1. Right; there was an advertisement for the Fr. Sorin Story at the back of the last issue of ND Magazine. The show is written, directed, and performed by three respective alumni. Matt and I were in FTT at the same time and worked on a good number of shows together. He's touring the Fr. Sorin show this fall and into next spring. I know he has a stop in Dallas, and I'll go see him.

    1. Dad and I wanted to just introduce ourselves and say hi but he had to leave right after the Q and A. Think he said 2 more weeks of rehearsals until they open. It was hugely generous for him to take the time to perform for us.
